bioclimatic: Trihab introduces the concept of eco-village neighborhoods - March 2008
Bruno Bazire, bioclimatic designer and artist, Peter Pralus, the prime eco-housing in the Var and Jean-Guillaume Larribeau, architect DPLG & Urban planner, founded the company TRIHAB in 2006, in a quite area. Their goal? Deploy in the Var projects eco-sustainable bioclimatic areas within the villages to create centers of life and foster social ties. An innovative concept that is beginning to take root.
" Our first challenge is to combine bioclimatic architecture with the latest government standards for green construction. This project we develop for 18 months aims to combine in Fayence more than 150 homes, combining cohousing, houses and "bands" around an eco-center. "
The idea of the team TRIHAB is power, while respecting the local urban plan and the choice of each, offering a lifestyle and a friendly place where residents can dispose of meeting space and multiple on-site activities: shops, cultural activities, recreation, home for elderly Enterprise Park in particular related to Sustainable Development. As an exemplary, a pool with filtration takes place in a natural ecosystem (micro-organisms and aquatic plants) would be made available to everyone and a bamboo forest would be planted to help small wastewater treatment plant adjacent to filter wastewater. This project has attracted the mayor, who expects to start in 2009 the first phase of the project, the construction of 100 dwellings on land, partly communal, 12 hectares of which the units will be sold at a cost incentive. The trio searched for shock time private partners to close the project funding.
